27 Nisan 5768: Day 12 of the ‘Omer/Space Day/Robert’s Rules of Order Day

Greetings.

Worthy causes of the day, many of which Barry is responsible for: “Help Pass the International Violence Against Women Act (HR 5927)”, “Shine a light on drug company gifts to doctors”, “Time is Short: You can help protect polar bears today”, “Superdelegates must follow the will of voters”, and “Help Stop the Yazoo Pumps Project!”

Today’s news and commentary:
  • “No Brainer”
  • “CDC: Measles outbreak linked to lack of vaccinations”
  • “Iron Man: The science behind the fiction”
  • “Urban Legends Reference Pages: Drinking Bleach Prevents HIV/AIDS”
  • “Nutcracker Man Preferred Soft Fruits”
  • “Poll: More disapprove of Bush than any other president” (Suggested by Barry.)
  • “Court Orders U.S. to Stop Keeping Polar Bear Status on Ice”
  • “White House Blocked Rule Issued to Shield Whales”
  • “Buried Prejudice: The Bigot in Your Brain”
  • “McCain tells Iowans he would veto farm bill over subsidies” (I do not intend to vote for McCain, but I do believe he is right on this issue. Keep in mind that a lot of subsidies go to people who do not need them, and the taxpayers are footing the bill.)
  • “Town ends comical 'Stop' signs like 'Stop! In the Name of Love'”
Today’s weird thing is “Modular Snake Robots”. Enjoy and share the weirdness.
