Today’s news and commentary:

- “Top U.S college's nerds blow off steam in Cooking 101”
- “Robot Identifies Human Flesh As Bacon”

- “Organ donation raises religious doubts in Israel” (Suggested to me by Barry, who heard about it from Nancy. I don’t know how accurate this is, but all of you out there who subscribe to a religion or other ideology which values morality: make sure you’re registered as an organ donor. Frankly, I do not like cutting up the dead for replacement parts; it is a gross disrespect to them. But if that’s what it takes to save human lives, then it has to be done, since saving human lives is more important. You may also want to invest in stem cell research and in the development of transgenic pigs whose organs are not recognized as nonself by the human immune system so we can eventually not have to cannibalize the dead.
- “Olmert: I can offer Abbas 'a lot'” (Considering that Abbas has done nothing to actually advance peace, is an enemy of Israel, and only really differs from Hamas on tactics, I’d say Olmert is living in a fantasy world and needs to be kicked out of office.)
