21 'Av 5766 * 15 August 2006: Assumption Day

Greetings.

There is way too much going on in the Middle East. See under “Recommended Reading” for more material than you may have the time or patience to read. And if you’re in Israel, go push the people you elected to fire Olmert and his cabinet.

On a personal note, I have filed the proper paperwork and am now officially scheduled to defend my dissertation on August 28. (Barukh HashShem!) Everybody cheer.

Today’s news and commentary:Today’s weird thing is some cool technology that would be right at home in Star Trek, demoed in “Multi-Touch Interaction Research” and “Jeff Han on TED Talks”. Enjoy.

Aaron
