I just checked the weather forecast, and it looks like Charleston (probably) won’t get hit by Ernesto, but we will get drenched.
Today’s news and commentary:
- “US rejects Bush-Admadinejad debate” (I suspect this is a mistake. The whole planet might have been treated to the sight of a psychopathic administrative incompetent debating with a genocidal lunatic. They might well have tried to outcrazy each other and given everybody more reason to get both of them out of office than before.)
- “31 States Record Increases in Adult Obesity” (Someone please get our culture to make taking responsibility for one’s own health be actually valued!)
- “MIAs to the fore, all of them”
- “Red Cross Ambulance Libel Exposed” (General rule: If you’re going to do something wrong, at least do it well. People can admire a masterful fraud or heist. No one respects evil done stupidly.)
- “Gaza: Journalists protest censorship”
- “Column One: Terrorist theater tricks”
- “Retailers back affordable homes for Katrina victims”
- “U.S. Poverty Rate Leveling Off ” (Note that the situation still sucks, and it’s Bush’s fault.)
- “Analysis: Census finds more uninsured” (As I said, Bush’s fault.)
